Rose of Cabernet Franc
Our Rose' of Cabernet Franc is made in a saigne'e method. After crushing our Cabernet Franc grapes, we allow the juice to soak on the skins for a short period, then we “bleed” off a small amount of wine and ferment it separately. The color is a beautiful deep fuschia or as the French say, oeil de perdrix (uh’y duh pair-DREE) literally meaning eye of the partridge. The alcohol by volume is 13%. It was bottled April 2009.
Enjoy this wine lightly chilled with almost anything! Although it has a pale color, it’s not a white wine, it has the body & intensity of a red wine.
